In 2012 there was a new initiative on the literary frontier, Dutch Caribbean Book Club. With the initiative of the Dutch Caribbean Book Club Magda Lacroes wants to encourage people from the former Netherlands Antilles and Aruba to read (more) books from authors of these islands and knowing more about these authors and their books.
The aim of Dutch Caribbean Book Club is to read every 3 or 4 months a book from an author of a different (is)land of the former Netherlands Antilles and Aruba.
Magda Lacroes thinks that people are interested in reading Caribbean literature because of the constitutional situation of the former Netherlands Antilles and Aruba. She assumes that people are now more interested in their heritage, their (is)land and the richness of the culture and art of such (is)lands including their authors.

Van harte gefeliciteerd met het eerste lustrum van deze GEWELDIGE club!
